Gentlemen, this time next week, our new server will be up. Here's an overview of it.

It's going to be at tdd.nuclearfallout.net on 01Dec09, open to the public. 

It is a legit steam server, so non-steam are out of luck. Buy the game. It's worth it.

They included a few freebies, that we will be looking into setting up and benefiting from in the months to come.

The price tag is hefty. We are paying 172.75 every three months, but right now, we have it covered. At least until 01March. Which gives us plenty of time to donate; I'll have donation info for this server (it's actually different for now, for the sake of keeping server funds apart). I truly believe that this server is going to be worth it. Faster server, better reg, more reliable host company, and a new admin setup to keep us from getting exploited. 

With this new server, I've revamped admins a bit. I've fiddled with permissions; no-one has lost admin, some of you have gained it. I'll go more into the new admin system later this week/weekend, and I'll be putting up a guide to both sourcemod and the plugins we'll be using on the new server. 

Keep in mind, that as we start the new server, we want ALL of the steam players from the other server to transfer over. So you know those guys who you play with all the time? Move 'em over, get 'em to join, yadda yadda yadda. Get this server populated and lets move into a new era for TDD; a legitimate era.

Hitman   |Author |2009-11-25 18:18:39 I thought it might be important to point out to people buying the game that the server will have a 120 ping cap, certain people, mainly TDD members will have immunity from this cap. We will also be able to successfully enforce rates because a legit steam server can update correctly to utilize the rate enforcement system built into CS:S. I will also be able to install a good team auto balance plugin that previously would not have been able to work on the server because of the complications in running certain mods/plugins on non-steam servers. This will also help keep things fair, and allow us to avoid those maps on the server where 1 team constantly stomps the other and causes people to leave. We will also have a redirect setup on the old server that gives players the option of hitting a key and connecting to the new server.

Therefore server wight experience some lack of players... That's just my thought. I support this idea! Time to play under the sun and not in a darkness!!

Noone is on it an the ping is at 140 (on the old one it was about 30) I have no Idea how much the old one was but this one is a huge waste of money, considering that noone is playing on it (and why is the TDD: US css server steamfree whilst this one isnt...bit bigoted)

I mean, yeah, it's bigoted and hateful to make people pay for things they use. When I order a pizza, I slam the door in the face of the delivery guy and call him a bigot instead of paying for it. The fuck are you smoking? The server is faster, has better registry, and is easier to run from the backed. Significantly. It also came with quite a few bonuses. QQ less.

The EU server is shut down because no-one wants to pay for it, and no one wants to play on it, and it had, if possible, the most hackers, faggots, and probably child molesters than any other place on the internet. And when you'd tell 'em not to hack... they would voteban you. No, fuck that server, and fuck that server population. Legit players are welcome on the new server.
